Our Parish Ministries

“The Mission of the parish of Our Lady of Fatima, Peakhurst, nourished by the Word and sustained by the Eucharist, is to build and nurture a Christian community through our Catholic faith. With our gifts, we create a parish that welcomes all people. We will achieve our Mission by: Promoting prayerful, meaningful liturgies; Actively demonstrating Christ to the wider community; Providing opportunities for faith development for all”.

Liturgy

Mission: To promote prayerful, meaningful liturgies for the Parish community.

Finance

Mission: To plan and administer the financial needs of the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima Peakhurst, in conjunction with the Parish Priest.

Catechists

Mission: To share our faith with children attending state schools.

Sacramental Preparation

Mission: To conduct programs of preparation for children to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist/First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Children's Liturgy

Mission: To assist our children to understand the Gospel at their own level. It encourages children to have a happy association with God and His Church.

Lending a Hand

Mission: The role of Lending A Hand is to identify and dispense funds to worthwhile causes on behalf of Our Lady of Fatima Parish.

Friendship Group

Mission: To provide for the elderly in the area (all denominations).

Welcoming Team

Mission: “Welcoming all into our Parish Family”.

Catholic Women's League

Mission: To be an Ecumenical Community which upholds the dignity of women – to be a voice in the Church and in society. To be aware of issues in the Parish and society and be willing to act on these issues.

St Vincent De Paul Society

Mission: The mission of the St Vincent de Paul Society is to deepen the Catholic faith of its members – to go out into our nation to heighten awareness of Jesus Christ. Read more

The Bark

Mission: Communicating with, through and for the parish.

Maintenance

Mission: To work together as a community, in a spirit of Christian fellowship, to improve and maintain in good condition the parish buildings and grounds.

Evangelisation

Mission: To bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to those around us.
