In Confirmation, Catholics receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit and deepening of baptismal graces needed to grow as mature disciples of Christ in the life of the Church. With Confirmation we are empowered to participate in the ministry and mission of Jesus and receive the spiritual gifts that are needed to be God’s instruments to the world.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is for children in Year 6 and above.
Confirmation is part of our sacramental program and is designed as a faith journey for you and your child. You are invited to participate in the parish-based, family-centred program. Confirmation involves an information evening, a welcoming Mass, a series of lessons, a rehearsal for the sacrament and attendance at a Youth Mass. Your involvement in the sacramental program is vital in preparation for receiving this sacrament.
